Infomation for Childcare Workers

If you work in childcare and education, there is a course designed especially for you.

This unit of competency has been approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) who have deemed it to satisfy all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).

This course is suitable for anyone working in long day care, family day care, preschool and outside of school hours (OOSH) care services, Teachers and anybody working with children.

The Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting is the course for you. It meets all the standards for first aid but has been tailored specifically toward childhood illness and emergencies, and also covers anaphylaxis and asthma management in a 6 hour course.

We can however conduct stand-alone workplace groups Course in Emergency Management of Asthma in the Workplace or Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis.

Award issued: 

• The Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting HLTAID012
• Provide First Aid HLTAID011
• Provide CPR HLTAID009 and Basic Emergency Life Support HLTAID010

• Course in Emergency Management of Asthma in the Workplace 22024VIC or Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis 22099VIC. 

Certificates will be mailed after completion of the course
