Infomation for Electricians

First aid requirements are for persons conducting a business or undertaking on managing electrical risks in the workplace. It applies to all workplaces where a person conducting a business or undertaking has management or control of electrical equipment, including electrical installations, or carries out electrical work on or near energised electrical equipment, including electrical installations.

It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

First Aid Darwin recommends the Provide First Aid course as the minimum first aid certificate in the workplace. 

If you have never done first aid training before, the Provide First Aid course is the best place to start, to give you the confidence, skills and Knowledge required to save a life.

First Aid Darwin offers “Perform Rescue from a live Low Voltage Panel” 3-4 hour course depending on requirements. Classes are offered early morning and late afternoon to suit the electrical worker or we come to you in your workplace.

This course is aimed at people in the electrical industry who wish to gain low voltage switchboard rescue and resuscitation skills for their workplace or personal benefit. This course meets the requirements of the Electrical Safety Act and the Code of Practice: Electrical Work, Section 6-Working Live.

Certificates will be issues at the end of the day after successful completion of the course.
